Busy month!

hey everyone! Sorry i haven't posted anything for a long time! But we have been so busy this month...it's pretty much been a whirlwind of events!

First, Travis came home! Which was pretty nice...except all the driving! Way to much for me, but its all good! He actually took a motorcycle class while he was home and passed it....so then he decided he wanted to buy a bike...and that he did. So that let me off the hook of driving him everywhere :) I was pretty happy about that!

Then, the first weekend of october we went up Marion to visit some family and headed on up to Dubuque for a family reunion. It was Jayden's first Turner reunion and he seemed to have captured everyones heart....haha except for when he cried...then they handed him back to me! Which was just fine with me! I was going to take im into the swimming pool (yes it was heated!) but there was a wedding party in their all night...and they were a little roudy! So i didn't think that was going to be a good idea....but the reunion was a lot of fun and it was so nice to see everyone again!

However, on my way up to marion...one of my really close friends call me and asks what contractions feel like! (Trust me...before i left i told her she couldn't have her baby until i got back!) So later that night, she text me and said that she had her little baby girl! So that was exciting. Needless to say i was sad that i couldn't go see her right away, but i got up there the next day! But she really is adorable and i have posted pictures of them as well!

Then the same week we got back from the reunion, Jayden had his two month appointment! We all know what that means...he got his shots! He did really well though and only cried for a couple minutes! But i think the reason he was crying was because they gave him PINK bandaids! How ruuuude! They also weighed him and he already weighs 15lbs. 12oz! He's such a big boy! He also is 23 inches long!

Then the day after that i had an interview at the potrait studio in walmart....they were suppose to have called me by now...but nothing. Thats ok though. After the interview i was having second thoughts about going back to work and leaving Jayden. I just don't think I'm ready yet! Mike also had an interview with Purina..but he got a letter in the mail the other day which said they didn't have any positions available at this time....but he is still looking! We are hoping he finds a job before winter is here! That way he won't have to commute back and forth!

Well....thats a quick catch up of our lives for now...I'm sure i'll post again eventally...but in the mean time keep checking back at phanfare..i tend to post more pictures then i do writing in here!

Jayden's Poem

Jayden's Cold :(

The past few days have been very sleepless! Jayden has been very cranky and doesn't want anything to do with no one! Not even his mommy! However...we made a unexpected trip to the doctor's yesterday because he was getting very congested and was having trouble breathing! He also wasn't eating very much because he couldn't drink and breath at the same time. He ended up getting blood drawn...and i was the lucky one that had to hold him for that. Not very fun let me tell ya! He screamed and screamed and screamed...he got so mad he riped my glasses right off my face! But of course this made me laugh so i felt a little better...but anyway the blood work came back normal so they just gave us some nasal drops....which he smiles at everytime i give them to him. I think my child is strange....On the other hand, later that night when he got done eating, i was giving him his drops and i got more then i bargened for! He threw up ALL over me! (yes mom it was much worse then what you got!!!) I swear it looked like i peed my pants a couple different times and it went right through my shirt! I could hardly walk upstairs to change! and of course Mike wasn't much help...he just stared and laughed...grr to guys. Well...thats about all the exciting news for now. Except Jayden just turned one month old!!!! Ok, well I'll post again soon....

Just life.......

So we had Jayden's second doctor's appointment yesterday and everything seems like its going very well....He has gained 10 oz since last week! He is getting quite chubby! but I think it's adorable! However, the doctor said that she wanted us to start trying to get him to feed every 3-4 hours so it makes for a very cranky baby when he gets hungry and I can't feed him! It was a long night last night...let me tell you!

On other news, Mike has been trying to get on to a new shift at work....and he finally got it! He actually starts it today so it will be interesting to get use to. However, the good thing is that he will have more time to spend with Jayden and I during the week! So that will be really nice because I won't have to do everything by myself anymore...and I won't be so stressed out! but thats pretty much it on the home front...so I will try and write again soon!

Momma's boy

I know it has been awhile since i have wrote last....but life has been a little hetic around our house trying to get use to the new addition to our family. Jayden is adjusting quite nicely actually! He seems very content in his new surroundings! However, he does make the weirdest faces you might ever see...i wish they could tell me what he needed when he cries...im still trying to figure that one out! If its not a bottle its his diaper...if its not his diaper then its his bottle....or he just wants to be held! Truly they should give you a manual when they send you home with your baby! No, im just kidding! Anywho, AJ (our dog) seems to be getting use to him as well. The first day we brought him home he seemed very confused but very curious. Now he got to Jayden whenever he starts crying, i think its a sign that he is concerned about him! But it's very cute to see. As for Mike, he went back to work today leaving me on my own for the first time since i had Jayden. And im a little at a loss of what to do. I have gotten a little fusterated but nothing to bad. My mom came down today which was really nice because she was able to help me out a little bit! It's always nice to have help! Especially when your still sore! Ok, well i think thats enough typing for this time. But i'll try and not wait as long in between postings...but i can't garentee anything! but toodles for now!

The Big Arrival!

Jayden Mykaell was born on July 28th at 1:37am! He was 8lbs 7oz! Such a big boy! But were very happy that he has finally decided to join the outside world. However, i guess it wasn't by his choice to come. After 12 hours of labor they finally took him by cesearan! But as im very tired I will post more about this subject a little later!

Waiting...

As we sit here waiting for Jayden to arrive...I'll take a few moments to say hi and welcome everyone to my blog! This is my first ever blog so just bare with me...I'm sure they will get better as i do more....they certainly can't get worse! Anyway, I am now 5 days over due and i am patiently waiting for jayden to decide when he wants to come and visit us on the outside....To be honest im a little tired of sharing my body with him! He's getting to big and im getting to uncomfortable...but anyway..i guess i'll be going. I have to try and figure out how to link this to phanfare...so we shall see...wish me luck!
